The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) had a successful weekend in Eldoret and Kisumu, both in the Kenya National Basketball League for which they reaped maximum points.
Defending champions KPA women’s basketball team routed Eldonets 77-26 in Eldoret after leading 28-13 at halftime and leading the game throughout.
The results of this game were dominated by Jemimah Knight, who had 18 points, and Rita Aluoch, who had 14. During the match that took place on Saturday in Kisumu, KPA won 72-15 over Lady Bucks with Linda Alando nailing 15 points, while Velma Achieng and Selina Okumu each scored 12 points.
I must admit that as the game progressed, my girls adjusted as the game progressed, which is good news for me as a coach,” said KPA coach Anthony Ojukwu. “This was our first time playing this team, so we didn’t know what to expect.”

It was quite easy task for the porters as they thrashed Lakeside 80-54 at the Arab courts at Manyatta in the match held in Kisumu.
In his post-game remarks, KPA’s coach Sammy Kiki said, “We played way better than them and had a comfortable lead. In the fourth quarter, we relaxed and they increased their score.
Zetech University Sparks also played in Eldoret on Wednesday night, defeating Eldonets by an impressive 68-28 margin, with Ashley Minayo scoring the game-high 14 points which led the students to victory.
With a well-deserved 92-82 win over Zetech University Titans in a high-scoring match, Platinum Eldonets did not disappoint their fans as they were able to meet their expectations in a high-scoring contest.
There was a game between the University of Nairobi “Dynamites” and Kenyatta University “Oryx” held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, with the Kenyatta University “Oryx” winning 56-25.
